the 1861 census, he was listed as a Farmer for his occupation and was married to Ellen Hall of Sherbrooke, Lanark County,
Ontario. They were married on April 4th, 1853 at St.John the Baptist Catholic Church in Perth, Ontario.
Patrick Murphy was born in 1821, either in Co. Cork
or Co. Wexford, Ireland and lived in Bathurst, Lanark County, Ontario.
